Empowering Girls in Real Life Situations
E-GIRLS provides access to a positive female role model within
a structured partnership focused on the needs of young girls.
E-GIRLS' goal is to mentor the girls as they learn important
life skills, develop and improve communication and leadership
skills, strive for their overall personal growth and
ultimately, to believe that they are special.
Cheryl Ingram's mission in life is helping people. From
volunteering with Stop Child Abuse Now (SCAN) to working with
the homeless to helping single parents, she believes in making
a difference in the lives of the people she meets. She was
raised in a single parent home, and later became a teen mother
and high school dropout with no where to stay.
Do you think she knows anything about having a boyfriend
before she was mature enough? Do you think she knows anything
about fear? Do you think she knows anything about being alone?
Do you think she knows anything about peer pressure? Do you
think she knows anything about family confusion? Do you think
she knows anything about low self-esteem? Do you think she
knows anything about being hurt by someone she trusted? Do you
think she knows about rejection?
